Why Choose MayFair Dental Associates for SureSmile Clear Aligners?

What Are SureSmile Clear Aligners?

SureSmile aligners are made of a clear, plastic material that is virtually invisible when worn over your teeth. While metal braces let everyone around you know that you’re undergoing orthodontic treatment, no one should be able to tell you’re wearing the aligners unless you tell or show them. Using advanced technology, your treatment plan is customized to effectively and comfortable shift your teeth into their optimal positions.

Benefits of SureSmile

After we’ve examined your smile and determined you’re eligible for SureSmile, we capture digital impressions to build a blueprint for your new smile. Using special SureSmile software, we can show you a rendering of how your pearly whites will move during treatment. Once you’re satisfied with what you see, the aligners will be created and then given to you in a few weeks.

We’ll instruct you on when and how to wear the trays, but generally, you’ll need to keep them in for at least 22 hours a day to achieve your desired results. Basically, you should only remove them to brush, floss, eat, and drink (anything other than water). After two or three weeks, you’ll switch to a new pair of aligners, with each one designed to shift a portion of your smile at a time. Depending on how misaligned your teeth are, you can expect to finish your treatment in three to twelve months.
